To provide the best possible experience for our participants, we have requirements they must meet to be accepted into the program. We look forward to including all Eagle County youth who meet these criteria.

To be eligible, applicants must be 5 – 21 years old, enrolled in the Eagle County School System, and must have at least one of the following disabilities:

Children who qualify wear two hearing aids, have a hearing loss of 35 decibels or more in both ears, and use sign language or lip reading as the primary form of communication. This program is not for individuals that have mild hearing loss.

A child who has any single or combination of hand, arm, foot or leg amputation can qualify for our program.

Physical Disability

Any individual with a permanent disability that required adaptive equipment (walker, wheel chair) or adaptive ski technique (mono-ski, bi-ski, dual-ski, ski bike).

Cognitive Disability

A mental impairment that affects the ability to process information and/or coordinate and control the body, which limits the ability to navigate the environment safely and independently. An IEP is required for all children with cognitive disabilities.

We accept children that are legally blind (20/200 in the good eye) to totally blind. Children with one good eye are not candidates. Physician diagnosis is required.
